KESCO informs consumers about the reconnection fee to be applied by the DSO as of September 1, 2026
KESCO, in its capacity as the Universal Service Supplier, informs consumers that it has received an official notification from the Distribution System Operator (DSO) regarding the commencement of the application of the reconnection fee, which will enter into force on September 1, 2026, in accordance with the Rule on Disconnection and Reconnection approved by the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO).
According to the DSO’s notification, as of September 1, 2026, a reconnection fee will be applied to consumers who have been disconnected from the network due to non-payment of financial obligations and who request the reconnection of their electricity supply.
This fee will be applied in addition to the disconnection fee, which is already in force, in accordance with the ERO’s regulations.
In order to ensure that consumers are informed in a timely manner, KESCO will publish this notification through its official communication channels and will also include it in the monthly bills to be distributed during August.
KESCO calls on all consumers to pay their electricity bills within the deadlines specified on the bill, in order to avoid disconnection procedures and additional costs related to the disconnection and reconnection of electricity supply.
