KESCO and KEK Reach Agreement on the Stability of Electricity Tariffs
KESCO informs all consumers that, in accordance with the requirements and recommendations of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO), a joint agreement has been reached with the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), with the aim of more efficient management of electricity supply costs.
During this challenging period for the energy sector, characterized by an increased need for electricity imports, this agreement is part of coordinated efforts between institutions and enterprises in the energy sector to maintain system stability and protect the end consumer.
At the core of this agreement is the application of a temporary cost-sharing mechanism, proposed by the ERO, which aims to avoid the immediate impact of rising costs on electricity tariffs.
As the universal service supplier, KESCO has played an active role in reaching this agreement by supporting an approach that ensures stable supply and protects the end consumer from immediate financial burdens.
This agreement is considered an important step toward maintaining stability in the energy sector and demonstrates inter-institutional cooperation in the interest of citizens.
KESCO remains committed to continuing to contribute to sustainable solutions that ensure reliable and affordable electricity supply.
