KESCO calls on consumers to cooperate in saving electricity
According to announcements from the Transmission System and Market Operator (KOSTT), the power system is facing increased load, particularly during peak hours: 09:00–12:00, 16:00–20:00, and 22:00–23:00.
These increased loads, resulting from higher electricity consumption, are related to the technical operation of the power system and require cooperation from all consumers to reduce consumption and help maintain supply stability. Simple measures taken by each of us can have a significant impact on the power system, contributing to improved stability for everyone.
As an electricity supplier, KESCO is committed to timely informing consumers and contributing to more efficient consumption management, emphasizing that small, individual actions can have an important impact on the overall stability of the system.
At the same time, more careful use of electricity directly contributes to reducing household expenses, resulting in lower bills—especially during periods when the need for electric heating increases.
KESCO invites consumers, especially during peak hours, to apply the following practical measures:
-
Avoid using high-consumption appliances during peak hours (e.g. electric boilers, air conditioners, water heaters, washing machines, and clothes dryers).
-
Do not operate multiple high-consumption appliances at the same time; instead, plan their use sequentially.
-
Shift energy-intensive household tasks (laundry, dishwashing, drying, ironing) outside peak hours.
-
Maintain stable and moderate heating, avoiding setting temperatures to maximum during peak hours.
-
Turn off unnecessary lights and avoid energy consumption from devices in standby mode.
Careful management of electricity consumption during peak hours helps the system operate normally and prevents additional loads that may complicate supply at certain times. Therefore, every saving, no matter how small, helps keep the system stable for everyone.
KESCO thanks consumers for their understanding and continued cooperation in this process.
