KEDS and KESCO, with a clear mission to reduce air pollution and protect the environment, have started purchasing and using electric cars. These 15 vehicles are just the beginning of the implementation of the project that focuses on preserving the environment and encouraging the staff toward this goal.

Such cars consume reasonable electricity and will be available to any of the company's employees during working hours so that they too are encouraged to use the most environmentally friendly cars.

Internal combustion engine machines release carbon dioxide, and as such are one of the biggest polluters of the environment, so in response, being an environmentally friendly company in the future we aim to continuously increase the number of electric cars.

The advantages of owning an electric car are numerous. Besides protecting the environment, they reduce costs, reduce noise caused in urban and local areas, help fight global warming, have easier maintenance, influence a healthier community, and many other advantages.

As we see the advancement of technology every day more and more, all the signs that will serve as a turning point for electric cars in the coming years, which await wide adaptation in many countries of the world, are clearly seen.

According to statistics, only in 2021, the total number of electric cars in the world has reached 16.5 million units, while the sales of these cars have increased pace and only in the first quarter of 2022 were sold 2 million of them, while throughout the year the last over 10 million cars, while for 2023 over 14 million are expected to be sold worldwide.

So, KEDS&KESCO with these purchases are on trend with the times and live up to the commitment to protect the environment, having been engaged earlier in environmental projects regarding electricity, bringing the information center for self-producing consumers in 2017, to help and guide all interested consumers in Kosovo to become self-producers of electricity through green technologies, including solar panels and small wind turbines, by building a new grid or adopting the existing grid for clean energy producers and buying the green energy that is produced in the country.
