Hundreds of businesses have submitted the documents that meet the requirements to continue being customers of KESCO, while those who do not submit them will be moved to the open market
Hundreds of businesses have already submitted the documents confirming that they have no more than 50 employees and their annual turnover does not exceed 10 million euros. These documents are necessary to continue receiving electricity supply from KESCO without having to enter the open energy market.
However, thousands of other businesses still have not fulfilled this obligation, and the deadline for submitting the documentation is ending this week, meaning it is active until Friday, March 21.
These two documents must be submitted to one of KESCO’s customer service centers across Kosovo or to the email address: komerciale@kesco-energy.com.
Businesses that do not submit the documents from the Kosovo Tax Administration, regardless of their size, will, according to the decision of the Regulatory Authority for Energy (ZRRE), no longer be able to be supplied by KESCO at regulated tariffs and will be moved to the open market, where they will need to find their own supplier.
To clarify further, a business will not be part of the open market if it submits documents proving that it has no more than 50 employees or annual turnover exceeding 10 million euros. The lack of submission of these documents automatically moves them to the open market.
For this reason, we call on all businesses that have not yet submitted the necessary documents to do so as soon as possible to avoid the risk of interruption of supply or the obligation to purchase energy under uncertain conditions. The submission process is simple and can be done through KESCO’s official channels.
Energy market liberalization is an important step for the economy and competition, but it is crucial for businesses to be informed and prepared for the changes this brings. Non-compliance with deadlines and failure to provide the required documentation can directly affect their electricity supply and business operations, so they must strictly adhere to the deadlines set in coordination with the ZRRE. This body is the decision-making institution in this case, while KESCO, as the Universal Service Supplier, is the executing body of decisions.
For more information, businesses can contact KESCO through dedicated customer service lines at our centers across Kosovo or through the dedicated customer communication lines.
The other data, which is not needed by KESCO, businesses can cover or hide.
